Africa Prudential Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of its Chairman, Christabel Onyejekwe, to the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Directors Nigeria (CIoD Nigeria), following the Institute's 42nd Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Her election comes at a defining moment for CIoD Nigeria following its transition to chartered status, with eight distinguished business leaders elected to the Governing Council through a transparent and competitive process. The newly constituted Council will serve under the leadership of the Institute's President and Chairman of Council, Otunba Adetunji Oyebanji, FCIoD.
Christabel's appointment reflects her distinguished leadership and significant contributions to Nigeria's financial services industry. With more than three decades of experience spanning banking, digital payments and financial technology, she currently serves as Chairman of Africa Prudential Plc and sits on the boards of several leading organisations. Her extensive expertise in corporate governance, business transformation and strategic leadership positions her to make meaningful contributions to the Institute's governing body.
As a member of the CIoD Nigeria Governing Council, Christabel will help shape the future of corporate governance in Nigeria, providing strategic insight on emerging governance priorities, particularly those driven by innovation, technology and the evolving business landscape.
